Grants awarded for improvements to infrastructure and housing.
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Marcia Fudge announced that $75 million is now available through the Indian Community Development Block Grant.
Native American and Alaskan Native Tribes are eligible to apply for this funding, which may be used to improve infrastructure, public housing, economic development, and other necessary services for low- and moderate-income families that live on Indian reservations. Applications must be completed by September 5.
“Investing in our Tribal communities is essential. HUD is committed to ensure support so these communities have access to essential resources,” said Secretary Fudge. “The purpose of these grants is to create more equitable outcomes for Tribal residents.”
